I am so proud of my little Ella!!!

She ranked top 5 Agility Dalmatian in the country for 2009 and was invited to the AKC Eukanuba Agility invitational in Long Beach Dec. 2010.

Masher was top 5 in Papillons!!! So two of our pups will be running.. Oh what fun!!!

Puppy Puzzle 2010

The Papillon Club of So Ca held a Puppy Puzzle seminar at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club.

The weather was perfect and the seminar was fabulous!!

Char and I were lucky enough to each have a litter that was the right age to be evaluated for the seminar. So I brought the collie pups and Char brought the poodle pups. The pups were EXHAUSTED after the evaluation.

Pat Hastings evaluated our litters the night before. It was a wonderful experience and I learned quite a bit. I wish I had the two roughs from the litter here!

Pat covered tons of things in the seminar and I recommend it to anybody that is serious about breeding.

She has a new book coming out that is geared more towards the performance dog. I can't wait to go to that seminar!!!

I hear agility people say i don't want a show dog I just want a pet….. That is soooooooooooooooooo wrong!!! performance people NEED the VERY best dogs they can get their hands on!!! SOUND mind and SOUND body!!! It is unfair to ask a dog to perform when its body can not do the things required without pain, discomfort or breaking down ….

The same to you breeders out there. Quit giving your crap dogs to performance homes!!!! It's not right!!! Performance dogs are athletes and if is not sound enough to breed or trot around in a circle in the conformation ring what makes you think it can do agility or hunting or herding????? It just drives me CRAZY!!!!!

Harmony’s First Show!!!!

What a cool little dog.

I got Harmony at 8 months and due to her breeders health issues was not taken out and about much. Harmony has come a very long way from the time we got her!!

I have not had her in a class ever and have just been playing with jumps and tires…. she just learned the tunnel less than a month ago!! At the last trial I showed Aiden and Daneen was showing Grinder and Harmony was having a fit in her ex-pen….She REALLY wanted to go and play!!!

Pretty cute for no real training yet and i can’t wait until she actually has a clue what I am asking her to do. She is going to be fun fun fun when she gets it!!

USDAA NW Regional 2010

This is our second year going to the USDAA NW Regional hosted by Red Hot Rovers at the Argus Ranch in Auburn WA.

We had a FABULOUS time!!!! The site is wonderful and the club really outdoes themselves in putting on this show!!! And there raffle is really fun. The club also has what they call a buddy system for people flying in for the trial. They provide the extra stuff that you can't fly in like chairs, coolers and crates. What a great idea!!! It really made the trip so easy and yet so comfortable at the trial.

We went to a Christmas tree farm and saw the most lovely and perfect trees!

We stopped at a local fruit stand and picked up some healthy snacks…..

Mushy loved the cherries and the peaches!

Argus Ranch has a Dorm area. We stayed here and it was a first for both of us. Never having stayed in a dorm it was quite a nice experience. There are 9 bedrooms, bathrooms on each floor, a nice size kitchen and 3 common rooms. People and their dogs just hung out after the trial and it was a whole bunch of fun!!

The very first potty break in Washington Daneen took Masher to potty under a pine tree. Masher came up limping….. after a quick inspection we found he had pine sap all between his pads. We learned that butter takes sap out of the fur in a jiffy!

Argus Ranch is right on the river. The weather was in the 90's the first day and I felt really bad for all the local people because they were all melting. From the Dorm we could see a steady stream of people tubing down the river and it looked like so much fun. That is something I would like to try someday.

We took Masher down to the river to play for a bit… The water was sooooo cold that I am thinking that tubing does not sound that fun :0

Daneen was playing with Masher and while I realize I really do need a better camera I thought this photo was kinda cool.

We ate at Mama's Steak and Pasta the second night. What a treat that was. It was very homey and it felt like you were in your "kooky" was super nice aunt's home for dinner. The food was super yummy and I can't wait to go back for another visit!
