Adfam’s Tearin’ It Up MXJ, AX, MAD, JM, RM, NGC, CGC,TDI

It is with a broken heart and tear filled eyes that I write this post. Last Sunday Shredder was bitten by a rattlesnake and did not survive.

I feel helpless as there are no words or actions to help ease Daneen’s pain.

Shred and Daneen were just starting to click as a team and got their first double Q for the year to qualify for the Nationals. For those of you that were lucky enough to see them work you would have to agree with me that it was a egde of your seat experience…..and seeing the smile on both of their faces at the end of the run just made your soul smile…..even when Shred would take 7 extra obstacles and still beat all the other dogs in every jump heights times!!!!! Shred loved the game as much as her partner.

As ludicrous speed as Shreddy was in agility she really gave me her all in a very controlled manner in the conformation ring…..even tho she probably thought it was pretty boring.

My favorite thing about Shredder was her sense of humor…..when she thought that she was not getting quite enough attention from us she would start spinning and chasing her tail…REALLY FAST….then she would stop and wobble a little from being dizzy and look at us and wait for us to start laughing.

Shredder will live in our hearts forever and we do find comfort in the four amazing little pups she had….Masher, Foxy, Primo and Taboo. I know that Shredder will be watching them as they tear up the agility courses just like their mother did.

I am sure Shred is having as much fun in heaven as she had here on earth…..perfect open courses and lots of chicken snacks!!!!Jumping_shredder

Dalmatian National KY 2007

Categories:Travels

The Dal National was in KY AGAIN…..I just hate that!!! I prefer when the site is switched around as I enjoy seeing and exploring new places. That being said I still had LOTS of fun. Met up with old friends and for the most part saw higher level of quality in the dogs than I have seen in awhile. That was refreshing. I found the dog I would like to breed Sydney to. That is always exciting.Dsc_0430
I just took Aquinnah this year. What a breeze just traveling with one pup. At just 8 months old Aquinnah took the whole trip like she has been doing this sort of thing forever. We both really enjoyed the one on one time with eachother. What a wonderful little pup.

We didn’t place but Aquinnah showed great. We made the cut in a large 6-9 class and got tons of compliments on her. That is always nice.

Aquinnah and half sister Brynn. They look so much alike it was cute.

Agility Collie

I got these cute shots as Daneen was playing tug with Crash. They were taken at night so the quality is not that great. This little puppy picked Daneen from the time he could walk! All the other puppies would be playing and doing other puppy stuff and where would Crash be? Sitting at the front of the puppy pen STARING at Daneen with that “I just LOVE you” look!!! Pretty funny how creatures do that. Pretty cool when we pay attention….because it’s just magic!!!Dsc_0705
“READY, READY….Get that thing”

It is very obvious who’s little dog this is.

Attack Collie…..

I just bathed Crash and wanted to get some pictures of him before he got all gross again….taking puppy shots all by yourself is NOT an easy task…..especially when it’s a wild puppy. I sat down in the driveway and the little bugger just wanted to go and hang out with the sheep. He was in the field posing his little heart out…so I moved and went into the field to be closer. Well he was done posing and just wanted to be in my lap and biting my arm. When he was not attached to me he would run off and pick the biggest horse turd he could find and just stand there like a dork munching. Frustrating to say the least!!!!! I just had to share these pics of Crash the Shutzund Collie!!!!!Dsc_0671

Papillon National 2007

Categories:Travels

The PCA National was held in San Antonio, Texas this year. We took Shredder who was entered in agility and conformation and Masher who was entered in conformation. Shred had 4 hold your breath heart pounding edge of your seat kinda runs in agility. She got first place in one of her runs and was OH SO VERY close on the other three. Her and Daneen are just starting to click as a team…..and when they do….they will be unbeatable. Both pups did very well in the breed ring. I could not have asked any more of either of them. The classes were huge and Mashy tried very hard to keep his focus. Dsc_0446
Mashy spent most of his time protecting us from the evil yellow ducky with dark shades. It was pretty funny to watch!

I have never been to Texas. I loved how lush and green it was. The “Texas Pride” that was EVERYWHERE was very interesting. I love California as I am sure that LOTS of people here do….but we all don’t display California stuff or have the bear thing going on….. I’ll take a little less green here for the FABULOUS weather we have!!!!! I got just a tiny taste of the sticky choking heat and humidity in Texas and said no thanks. I’ll stick with California!!!! Now to go on ebay and find some California bear stuff!!!!! One of the coolest things was the amount of deer that are everywhere!!! That was quite the treat to walk outside and
see families of deer. Pretty cool!!!!
