Sydney and I showed for the first time in Advanced A at Santa Barbara Kennel Club. We would have gotten our first leg on Sat. but I blew it and missed a station!!!! We qualified on Sun. with a Third place. I am so enjoying the time with Sydney!!!!!

We are beyond excited here at the ranch that josephine 2 and 3 made it all the way from Oregon happy and healthy!!!! They are bedded down all snug as bugs in their new home. They are both the cutest little pigs ever!!! We bought them when they were about twelve weeks old and I had the hardest time finding trasportation for 2 little piggies….well by the time I found them a ride they just about didn’t fit in a size 500 crate!!!!! CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!!!!!!! These photos were taken on a cellphone….better pics to come.

I entered Ella in her first USDAA agility trial this weekend. I only entered on Sunday because I went to a John Buddie of Tartanside Collies” Creating Excellence” seminar on Saturday. It was such a treat to hear him speak
about his philosophies on breeding and the Collie. I could sit and just listen to him speak for days.

Ella was such a good little girl. She qualified and got a starters jumpers leg and a starters standard leg. She placed 1st in Jumpers and 2nd in Standard!!!!! You get to see lots of her first show pics because….well bottom line is that I am a newbie and I think my girl is beyond cute and I am really proud of her!!!!!!

We attended the 2007 Breeders Seminar put on by The Society for Theriogenology in Monterey, CA.
There were great speakers on very interesting subjects…..Like Dr. C.Lopate on Thyroid, Dr. A. Traas on DNA,
Dr. D. Bleifer on ovulation and Timing and thr very funny Dr. J.Freshman on the first 3 weeks after whelping.

After the seminar we walked and shopped the Old Fishermans Warf and hit the Monterey Aquarium the next day. They have a new Otter exhibit and I have to say they are VERY cute little animals!!!!
Masher was NOT impressed by one of my favorite animals in the whole world…..the Killer Whale!!

I don’t ever regret the decision not to have children…..but this is by far one of the worst problems being childless!!!!

We went to AZ to visit with Masher’s brother Primo and Father Moso. It was nice to see what a lovely and happy boy he has turned out to be. It was very funny to see all the boys running around playing with eachother. Hopefully Primo and Masher will be ready for Novice agility by the time the Pap National rolls around.

Crash went to his first show at 6 months and 1 day. He showed great!!! For being the wild Collie puppy he really kept it all together and showed like he has been doing this breed stuff forever.

We are proud to announce that Sydney is now Easy To Spot Rockets Red Glare RN !!!!!!
I made the decision to start training Syd for Rally in May…Started training right away and entered out first trial in July and voila …. Three trials and Sydney earned her Rally Novice title!!! She also got a 4th and a 3rd with decent scores!!! Now onward and upward….Rally advanced.

I went to the Dalmatian National and saw quite a few stunning dogs. I narrowed my choices down to 4 dogs.
I went over the dogs, saw them move, evaluated their temperaments and spoke with their owners and breeders. I made my decision while watching the Best of breed competition. The stud owner informed me that she only accepts bitches that are titled…..Ummm…..Hmmmm…… While Syndey is pointed I made the choice not to continue showing her because she is on the darker side and I just could not justify spending thousands of dollars to finish her. I think Sydney has more than proved herself in the whelping box as I LOVE the bone and the bodies that her pups have. So when I got back from the National I started training Sydney for Ralley OB. ……I said I would NEVER EVER do obedience again…..you know what they say….Never say never….. Well we entered our first trial and Syd qualified with a fourth place!!!! I was sooo
nervous it was actually funny!!!!! As soon as we do the breeding and an ultrasound I will post pics of the dog I chose for Sydney. Meanwhile I am thinking of great puppy names….Never Say Never….Whatever It Takes….I’m sure there are a million more….. Our next trial is this weekend….Cross your fingers for us…

We are so proud of Masher!!!! We went to the Southern Ca. Papillon specialty in spite of still feeling beyond awful about Shredder….. and Little Masher was such a good boy…. He was Best Opposite Sex in a HUGE sweeps class!!!! His mom must have had the biggest smile on her face watching her little boy show like a real pro. Good boy Mashy!!!!!

Crash is entered in his first show this weekend and I can’t wait to show him off. He is doing very well in his puppy agility class and will be starting herding very soon.
