New addition
You know when you are not looking for something and the moons all line up and the Universe just puts something wonderful right in front of you??? Well that is just what happened and now there is a new smoothie boy at Easy To Spot.
We have decided that the name he came with fits him perfectly so we are keeping it. We are very excited about this young boy. His name is Caden and his registered name will be Timeless The River Cadence.
He is out of Ch. Timeless Hello Darlin (WB/BoW CCA '08, BoV CCA '09) x Southland's The Cooper River.
He is stunning and has a temperament to die for!!!

After running a few errands I stopped at the gas station. When I got back in the truck it would not start.
My cell was dead so I went to a local store and called for a ride…. No answer… straight to voicemail.
I sat on the curb watching the cars go by and it started to get cold. I was only 2 1/2 miles from home. I could have walked, but that didn't sound like fun. After a bit a man in a gator was pulling out of the parking lot and I asked him if he was going up the road. He said he was. I asked if he would mind giving me a lift home as my car had died. He said "No problems". Great! I hopped on. I noticed he looked like he had had a stroke.
He told me he worked in construction and had an accident 5 years ago and had a stroke. I told him that is a hard road and that my father had a stroke. We had a nice chat the whole way to my house.
He made me feel good as it brought a flood of memories of my Dad. I fought back the tears in front of him.
I told him how my father was very angry right after the stroke and how he made the decision to make the best out of it all. And how my Dad was my hero. How I remember looking at my Dad and knowing all the tasks he mastered after the stroke like putting on socks with one hand. He nodded and said it's hard.
I remembered how my Dad had a couple of key words he would use like Perfect and Beautiful. This man, whose named I learned was Bill, key word was Excellent. That made me smile.
I remembered how kind, happy and full of life my Dad was and Bill seemed the same way.
After he dropped me off he held out his hand and I shook it then gave him a big hug. I felt my Dad around me.
We waved good bye and I felt the tears down my cheeks as I walked up my drive.
We went back later that night to roll the truck out of the way and it started right up.
weird how things happen.

National Elections – 2010 -2012 CCA District Directors
We have an election coming up soon. We all need to think about how our elected officials have served us in the past.
On the heels of all the shenanigans that the president of the CCA and SOME other elected officials have displayed please take the time to really think about what kind of statement you are going to make with your vote.
This is post is under the sable merle list but this crap that has been going on in the CCA goes WAY beyond the sable merle issue. We have a voice through our votes …. Let's use it!!!!! If your DD has kept you informed and is doing a great job then vote them back in and thank them!!!! If they have not then vote them OUT!!!!!!

changes to LA Co zoning proposed
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors are attempting to
eliminate dog breeding in the County of Los Angeles. Using the term
Puppy Mill to paint all breeders with the same “ black brush“, the
Regional Planning dept now intends to make dog breeding on A2 property
illegal.
Almost all dog kennels in Los Angeles County are located on A2
property since we were informed by Animal Control, Regional Planning
and Building and Safety , that breeding was a permitted activity in
that zone. ALL of these County Depts signed off on our Kennel Permit
Applications, approving us as “dog kennels“. This was the definition
of dog kennel up until a month ago when it was changed in order to
further discriminate against dog breeders:
"Dog kennel” means any lot, building, structure, enclosure or premises
whereupon or wherein four or more dogs, over four months of age, are
kept or maintained for any purpose, including places where dogs are
boarded, kept for sale, or kept for hire.
Now, after approving our kennels, some of which have been in existence
for 40 years, Regional Planning is claiming that there is a 1971
ordinance that made dog breeding illegal on A2 and that they had
simply approved it as an “accessory use”. We have asked for copies of
this ordinance but have been told it is not available. They are
claiming this gives them the right to now discontinue breeding as a
permitted use in A2 zones.
Late last year, one kennel and two rescue groups were investigated by
Animal Rights groups and dogs were subsequently seized by the county.
Now the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, advised by Animal Rights
Groups, are using these incidents, (claiming that a “huge” problem
exists,) to rip away the rights of breeders to use their land for the
purpose it was purchased for.
This action on the part of the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors is simply outrageous as they are now labeling all breeders
in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles “Puppy Mills”. There is no
legal definition of a puppy mill. It is a slur used by certain groups
to paint all breeders in a negative light. It is a slur that incites
anger, hatred and negative emotions in the general public. The Los
Angeles Board of Supervisors are using this slur to persecute,
penalize and punish all of the licensed breeders in Los Angeles County
who have never had dogs confiscated for lack of care, never been sited
for illegal activities involving the breeding of their dogs, have
consistently received “A” ratings from the Dept of Animal Care and
Control and have done everything reasonable people would do to comply
with the county's laws and ordinances.
I am urging everyone who lives in Los Angeles County to contact their
County Supervisor and voice their opposition to these outrageous
actions.

Reserve Winners HELL !!!!!!!!
I don't believe in hell….. but if I did my hell would be a 90+ degree day in a HUGE outdoor ring with tons of gopher holes and the judge would say " Ok, take them all around twice" and then point to me and say " And you are my reserve" and then the the judge would say " Ok, take them all around twice" and then point to me and say " and you are my reserve"
OVER and OVER and Over again………..
Papillon’s and friends in the Creek
After the agility trial we took the Paps and our friends Poodles to the creek. I noticed that Daneen and her 3 Papillons were in the middle of the creek and Me and my two Papillons were on the bank! Our dogs do take on a little of our personalities!!
This was a fun way to end a REALLY fun weekend!!! The dogs all seemed to enjoy themselves.
