Harmony started contracting about 5:00 p.m. I have whelped a few litters …. but they were big dogs. This was only my second little dog litter and the first was not my bitch so I was not nervous. Harmony is my little girl and as hard as I tried not to be…. I was nervous!
Luckily everything went perfect. She was done whelping by 10:50 p.m.
First pup out was a black and white boy.
Pup number 2 was a black and white girl.
pup number 3 was a black and white girl.
Pup number 4 was a black and white boy.
All the pups were of good weight and nursed right away. They seem strong and are oh so very cute!!!
Harmony is being such a good mother. She ate right up to the whelping. Daneen said " Don't most bitches go off their food just before they whelp?" I told her all my girls eat ALL the way through their pregnancies, right up to whelping and during whelping! And Harmony proved she was my girl 🙂
