Shred and the Shreddettes

Categories:Papillons

I helped my friend Daneen whelp her little Papillon’s litter. I was a tad tentative about this whelping. I have never whelped a toy litter or a litter with hair. I am glad to say that all went well and 4 healthy little pups were born! Shredder had 2 boys and 2 girls! Shredder is one amazing little girl in agility. Watching her run is just breathtaking!!! She SQUEALS as she does her weaves. Very, very cute.
These pups should be fantastic little agility pups!!Dsc_0448Dsc_0474

Herding Instinct Test

Categories:Collies

On April 30th, 2006 we held a CCA Herding Instinct Test in Acton. Kirsten Cole was the tester. 6 of the 8 pups from my Seabiscuit X Claire litter were tested and they all PASSED!!!!! So now Pony, Cole, Tirzah, Gal, Russell, and Cort now have HIC behind their names. It was great seeing the different herding styles that each dog had. We had 12 Collies enter the test and 11 passed. A huge thank you to Kirsten and her Border Collie Race and Daneen and her Border Collie Zip for all their hard work making the whole event such a success!!!Pony_herding

CA District Tournament 2006

Categories:Collies

Every year the Southern California Collie Clubs hold a tournament to select a couple of outstanding Collies to send all expense paid to the CCA National to represent Southern California. There are two different ways to enter. The first is for dogs and bitches that have not gotten their majors yet and they have to make it winners dog or winners bitch to then compete with the dogs and bitches that are either champions or that have a major. I think that this is a fabulous idea and the tournaments are always so much fun. This year was very exciting……..because guess who was winners dog and winners bitch…..Coletirzah1
Yup….Cole and Tirzah!!!!!!!

Kansas 2004

Categories:Travels

The 2004 Dalmatian National was held in the lovely state of Kansas.
I entered Sydney and Freedom this year. Freedom looked and showed like a million bucks!! Sydney the resident princess won her class….which just made my trip!!050_50

My friend Regina flew in from her home in New York and needless to say we had a fabulous time.

Going to the National is great because not only do you get to see some spectacular dogs, it’s a time to catch up with old friends and meet new friends. Earlier that year I had contacted Angie about a litter that she had bred. We continued talking through out the year and finally were able to meet at this National. I was a little nervous as you might imagine…. What if she is a dork??? What if she thinks I am a dork??? Well wether we are or aren’t didn’t really matter….Angie her friend Lily and Regina and I got along as if we were all old friends catching up on old times!!!! It was great!! 062_62
