Collie Club of America 2007

So I attended my first Collie National. There were over 1,300 dogs entered at the CCofA in North Carolina this year. I have to say it was a bit overwhelming and quite exhausting…. but it was lots of fun!! The depth of quality was refreshing and I saw quite a few dogs that I really liked. Cole and Tirzah were shown in the Best of Variety class by Diana Hiiesalu my co-breeder. They both showed great but since they are not even 2 years old yet they did not have the coat a more mature dog would carry. The venue was one of the best I have ever been to. It took me a while to get used to the fact that they have sweet tea and that you don’t have to add anything to it. It only took me about 4 times to get with the whole tea program! It was fun to spend the time with Diana and talk about collies, love, soulmates, life, and how grateful we are to have cellphones.

So I really wanted a blue bitch…..but this little sable merle boy had other ideas. He did everything in his little power short of singing and dancing to make us fall in love with him. He has a gorgeous little body, round muzzle, clean head, beautiful expression and an attitude and flowing effortless movement just like his dad! We are pretty thrilled with this whole litter and excited about our new addition. His name is Crash and his registered name will be It’s All Good……Which it is!!!!

Cole X Blush pups 7 weeks

Time sure flys when your having lots of fun with 6 roly poly collie pups!!! The pups are doiing great and getting
big and fluffier. They have been exploring new things everyday. They met sheep for the first time this week.
It was really cute seeing them investigate these strange and big creatures. Justin just could not help his little self and
took off towards the sheep to get a closer look. He ran up to the herd and stopped and just stared at them and
they were all at attention and stared back at this teeny ball of fluff. Then Just moved in closer and the sheep
turned and ran….well that was just the best game in the world!!! Justin hauled out after them as fast as his little feet could take him.
I called him and he trotted back with the proudest look on his face like ” Did you see me scare those big ol’ sheepies?!?!?!”
