Harmony came in season just before we left for England to attend the WAO. We tried to get a breeding done before we left because Masher would be with us and Harmony would be at home. We were not very succesful (so we thought) and left Harmony at our vet's to be AI'ed with Masher's frozen semen.

We were expecting her to whelp anywhere from July 8-10. So imagine our surprise when we woke up to Harmony panting. We figured since the temperature is in the triple digits that might be the issue. We got up made a cup of coffee and came in to check emails. The pups usually hang out in the office with us, but today Harmony would come in the office then run back to the bedroom.

We took this weekend off and getting her puppy area was on the list to do as well as giving her a bath and trim.

After my coffee I went and got the puppy pen and whelping box, cleaned them up and set it all up in the bedroom. I left to get the box of whelping stuff and when I came back in the room Harmony had jumped into the puppy pen and was sitting in the whelping box having good size contractions!!!!

No pregnant photos for my blog, No bath and maternity trim for Harmony, No temperature taking, No x-ray….. Just bing , bang, boom….. PUPPIES!!!!!

Her water broke at 11:15 a.m. She had the first pup at 11:30 a.m. and she had the last pup at 1:58 p.m.

The first pup came out a girl and then somehow changed into a boy by the early evening!!!! I HATE when that happens!!!!

We repeated this breeding because I lost Flasher…. I guess the Universe has other things in store because there are no perfect Posie girls in this litter. I just have to TRUST 🙂
